Oregon vacation:Take #1

We took our summer vacation to Oregon to visit Kyle's parents. They live on a 6 acre hobby farm which is just bursting with adventure and discovery. We had so much fun and I took so many pictures, (over 500) I will have to do several installments to get in all in.
Usually we take a non-stop flight which lasts close to 4 hours. However, since moving to Texas, we no longer have the option to fly non-stop. We can fly direct but that is not the same as flying non-stop. We took off from the Dallas Love Field airport at 7:10 a.m. Saturday, July 18 aboard Southwest Airlines. We flew to El Paso where we touched down for about 20 minutes. We stayed on the plane while others got off and still more people got on. Then it was a 2 hour flight to Las Vegas where we had a 2 hour lay over. Lunch at Sbarro's pizza, really it was brunch if you consider the actual time of day and the early morning hour we ate breakfast. Then hanging out on the floor of the terminal because all the chairs at the gate were occupado. Our next flight was close to another 2 hours to land in Boise, ID. Rent the car and drive for an hour to get to Grandma's house. It felt good to get out and walk around. For the kids, after giving hugs they ran to the backyard and climbed the sycamore tree. Kyle joined them. Part of the tree house he built as a boy is still up there. It is mostly the nails that are still there but that is not the point.

Analee actually fell out of this tree and was saved by her dad. It wouldn't have been a long fall but it would have hurt. Good thing her dad is tall and could grab her. She was mostly scared, not hurt.
