Oregon vacation: Crazy for Combines

On the farm, there is a never ending supply of machinery. Some little, some big. Jacob decided not to go see the combine the kids would get to ride later in the day. He wanted to stay behind with PeeWee.

You gotta have a big wheel shot. The kids climbed up to sit inside the cab and took turns sitting behind the steering wheel and driving.

It's pretty big.

Later, Jacob did go to the field with everyone else to ride the combine while it harvested the grain. It made a LOT of dust. It was also very hot so some of us stayed cool and dust free inside Grandpa's truck.

Each ride lasted about 10 minutes. They got to ride with Dwayne, the driver, as he went up and down the field and then dumped his load into the waiting truck.

This load goes to Grandpa in the trailer he brought with him.

Warm wheat, fresh from the combine smells really good, feels good and also tastes good. The things you get to do on the farm that you don't get to do anywhere else.
